Family of three found dead at home in south Mumbai’s Cuffe Parade, police suspect suicide

Friday, June 22, 2018- According to the report, one of the couple along with their son were found dead in their house in Cuffe Parade area in south Mumbai. The police reported that the reason for death was depression which they were facing after the death of their daughter. The dead body was being identified as Pravin Patel (40), his wife Reena (35) and son Prabhu (11). Deputy commissioner of police, zone I, Manojkumar Sharma said, On Friday, the incident came to known on the afternoon after neighbors of the family, residents of Machchimar Nagar, shouted of a foul smell emanating from the house. He also added that the house had to be broken into since the doors of the house had been bolted from the inside for the past two days. The family was found hanging from the ceiling. Further investigations into the incident are underway to find out the exact cause, the official said.
