Mumbai: The Directorate of revenue intelligence (DRI) has busted a massive import scam where it said diamond merchants with the connivance of values inflated the value of the precious stones brought into the country and used this route to transfer black money out of the country. The valuers who assign a value to the diamonds were identified as Pradeep Kumar Jhaveri, Naresh Mehta, and Paresh Shah. According to the sources Import of rough diamonds attracts a 0.25% duty and trade estimate show that over 95% of polished diamonds sold in the world are sent from India. Very low import duty on rough diamonds makes it an attractive route to launder money. The values, who are enrolled on the customs panel, are selected after verifying their credentials, including an endorsement from the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, an organization set up by the ministry of industry and commerce. Neuter Arrested for Abducting and Bobbitising Delhi Man

New Delhi: Neuter and the team have been arrested by Crime Branch for allegedly abducting and bobbitising a man induct him in their group in Delhi. Kolkata: On Wednesday,  Student of Class XII boy committed suicide during a live video chat with his girlfriend with whom he had a relationship. The incident took place on Wednesday midnight in Baruipur. FIR lodged by victim mother against the girl.  Without wasting a time police reached the spot and lodged a complaint against the girl with under section 306 (abetment to suicide) of IPC (Indian Penal Code). Chennai: On Tuesday night, Chennai Police arrested eight members of kidnappers into a ransom trap and released a 54-year-old businessman who identified as V Ganesan, the proprietor of a transport company. The gang of 8 members abducted businessman in Red Hills. One of the arrested suspected as uniformed policemen to lead the businessman into the gang`s clutches. Bangalore: A women and her son have been allegedly murdered a realtor over a joint business. After murdered a realtor duo dumped his body in a canal near KR Pet in Mandya district. The mother Jubina(42) and son Roshan (20)was from Soladevanahalli. Jubina attempted suicide by consuming 30 sleeping pills after realizing that police were on her trail. While the other accused, Roshan was arrested by Soladevanahalli Police. 6 Workers Died after Gas Pipe leaked in Andhra Steel Plant

Anantapur: In a steel plant at least six workers died and four others were critically ill after they inhaled carbon monoxide. The incident took place on Thursday evening at Gerdau Steel Pvt Ltd near Jambulapadu village. As per sources, workers were unaware to the gas leak as carbon monoxide does not contain any color or odor and they rushed out to ended up inhaling it. The district administration announced Rs 5 lakh compensation for the families of victims and said that they would ensure one family member of each victim get a job in the plant. The dead bodies were identified as B Ranganath (21), U Gangadhar (37), Manoj Kumar (24), K Siva Maddileti (26) and Guravaiah (40).
