Thursday Mahathir Mohamad to be affirmed as Malaysia’s seventh prime minister. The officials of the palace said following his unexpected victory in the election over the coalition that has been ruling the Southeast Asian Nation for 60 years.
Mahathir has been designated where the monarch will swear as prime minister 2130 hours (133o GMT) a statement from Malaysia’s king office- said Sultan Muhammad V.
Mahathir’s temporary alliance combined for action grabbed 113 seats, which was one more than the number desired to rule. However, it has not been officially enrolled as an alliance. While being in a jovial and melancholic mood, Mahathir denied any misunderstandings he would be the prime minister.

“His Majesty strongly supports and respects the democratic process and the wishes of his subjects,” it added and dismissed allegations that appointment was delayed.
Hundreds of Malaysians were lined up on the road leading to the palace, waving party flags and cheering the 92-year-old Mahathir.
“There is an urgency here, we need to form the government now, today,” – Tells Mahathir in a news conference in the day earlier. He also insisted that he takes the swear on Thursday.
