On Thursday, Frankfurt-bound Lufthansa flight was evacuated at Belgrade Airport, after police received a call about bomb threats, said the Interior Ministry of Serbian.

Sources claim that 130 passengers and 5 crew members have been deported after boarding to LH 1411 flight at 5:15 AM (0415 GMT), and the flight was about to be taken off the runway. Special Police Force was appointed to search the flight.

The Serbian Interior Ministry said in a statement that “this morning at 6 am an unknown person called and reported there was a bomb on the plane bound for Frankfurt.”

“The police are investigating whether it is a false alarm and are also working to identify the person who called,” it added.

A spokesperson of Lufthansa has confirmed that flight was being evaluated by the authorities.

Further details are awaited.
