White House Spokeswoman Sarah Sanders To Quit Post This Month - TNBC USA

On Thursday, the United States President Donald Trump has made a surprising announcement of the leaving of spokesperson Sarah Sanders, who has been criticized widely for her performance in the White House.

President Trump tweets, “After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas,” adding that he expects her to run for governor of her state.

She has been one of the US President’s loyal foot soldiers, continuously at his side during his deafening in the White House tenure.

However, Ms. Sanders has a combative, sometimes poor relationship with the White House press corps and consider responsible for the expiry of the formal daily briefing – almost an institution under previous United States President.

Last time she took to the podium for a back-and-forth with reporters in the White House briefing room on March 11. Besides, Ms. Sanders communicates mostly through interviews on President Trumps’ favorite TV network Fox News with informal and short briefings with other reporters outdoors.

Sarah Sanders has further been accused of telling lies to journalists, although denies the fact.

Despite her broken reputation in meda, there had been no hint from the administration that her departure was approaching.

Sarah Sanders’ father Mike Huckabee is a former Republican Governor of Arkansas.
