On Wednesday, a teenage boy informed police that he has escaped from captivity and identified himself as a boy, who has been missing since 7-years, US media reported.

The 14-year-old boy has gave his name as Timmothy Pitzen and alleged that he had been held by two men with bodybuilder physiques in the Cincinnati area at a Red Roof Inn, as per the reports, which claims that his identity has yet not been confirmed.

In May 2011, the boy was last seen with his mother at a waterpark in Wisconsin, informed the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Before the US teen’s disappearance, his mother had taken him on a trip, which covered around 500 miles in 2-days, reports source.

Pitzen’s mother was found dead at an Illinois motel along with a note, written: “He was safe with people who would love and care for him,” reports US media.

However, the victim’s grandmother, Alana Anderson told the source that she is “hopeful” that the boy is, in fact, her missing grandchild.

Alana was quoted saying, “I’m very hopeful that it’s him and that he’s ok and he’s been in a good place when he was gone and he’s gonna come back to us.”
