United States Received Distress Calls From Two Ships In Gulf of Oman - TNBC USA

On Thursday, the United States Fifth Fleet reports that its vessels in the Middle East have received anxiety calls from two tankers allegedly under attacks in the Gulf of Oman.     

A statement from Fifth Fleet, based in Bahrain said that “we are aware of the reported attack on tankers in the Gulf of Oman.”

“US naval forces in the region received two separate distress calls at 6:12 am. local time and a second one at 7:00 am,” added the statement.

“US Navy ships are in the area and are rendering assistance,” it said.
