The President on Wednesday tweeted to reopen schools by citing the examples of countries like Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark are, not having any problem with the schools are open during the Pandemic crisis.
He also said he is ready to discuss with the Public health experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to relax the guidelines on opening schools before November election
Trump also said, “The Dems think it would be bad for them politically if U.S. schools open before the November Election, but is important for the children & families.” which will help the parents to go for work and in return will help the economy to regain back its position.
On Tuesday, Trump threatened to “put pressure” on governors who resisted. The health experts said schools can be opened if proper safety measures can be taken.
Most of the funding comes from State and local governments. If not opened before November, The President will cut down the funding.
After Trump attacked the CDC on Wednesday, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is revising the guidelines and on reopening the schools. Pence said at the news conference at the U.S. Department of Education. ” That’s the reason why, next week, CDC is going to be issuing a new set of tools, five different documents that will be giving even more clarity on the guidance going forward.”
