Shooting Down Of Its “Spy” Drone By Iran Was “Unprovoked Attack” Says US - TNBC USA

On Thursday, the Pentagon has confirmed that the Iranian forces have shot down a United States “spy” drone but insisted the aircraft was in international air space, not of Iran.

The ‘BAMS-D’ drone was downed by an Iran’s surface-to-air missile system while flying in international airspace over the Strait of Hormuz, in a statement said the United States Central Command spokesperson, Navy Captain Bill Urban. He continued that it had happened at 2335 GMT.

He further said, “Iranian reports that the aircraft was over Iran are false,” adding that “this was an unprovoked attack on a US surveillance asset in international airspace.”
