On Thursday, 22-year-old Saoirse Kennedy Hill has died due to apparent overdose at the family compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, reported the New York Times. Ms. Saoire is the granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy.
Kennedy family was quoted saying to the local media that “our hearts are shattered by the loss of our beloved Saoirse,” adding that “her life was filled with hope, promise and love.”
The victim’s grandmother said about her that “the world is a little less beautiful today.”
On Thursday, emergency responders were called to Hyannis Port Estate and Ms. Saoire was lifted to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, where she was declared brought dead, reported the NYT.
A hospital spokesperson could not reached by sources for comment.
Saoirse Kennedy Hill was a student at Boston College, where she was a communication major and Vice President of the Student Democrats, said the New York Times.
The paper reads that the victim had written about struggling with mental illness while a student at a private school in 2016 Massachusetts.
Ethel Kennedy has also urdergo a series of tragedies, which included the assassination of her husband and the inappropriate death of two of their 11-years-old children.
