In a rare move reflecting India-US ties, Donald Trump’s Administration has replaced the Presidential Seal with an “India-US Dosti Flag” emblem from the Presidential Lectern.
As a traditional matter, every lectern from where a United States President speaks – be it a joint press conference or any speaking engagement or an election speech – carries a Presidential emblem.
However, for a surprising change, the Presidential lectern had a circular emblem with the ‘National Flag’ of both the United States of America and India.
On Sunday, President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have addressed the “Howdy, Modi” Event with around 50000 Indian-Americans were present at the NRG Stadium.
The mega event has been arranged by Indian-American Community in Texas for PM Modi.
It is for the first time that the top leaders of the two largest democracies of the world were addressing a joint rally in the United States.
