A picture of US President Donald Trump has widely been circulated on social media which appears to show a dramatic forehead tan line through his blond hair. The image has created a buzz or trend on Twitter with the hashtag #orangeface.
An unverified Twitter account named, ‘White House Photos’ first posted the image late Friday afternoon. The account describes itself as the account of a “White House Correspondent, Journalist, Photographer, Poet and Pesco Vegetarian” named “William Moon”.
Shortly after that, the White House Photos tweeted a black-and-white version of the image with the caption: “Today, DonaldTrump was dancing with the sunset and strong winds when he walked to the Oval Office from the Marine One on the South Lawn.. Photo by William Moon in the White House on February 7, 2020.”
The curious complexion of the President has long been a subject of intense scrutiny, mainly among critics and comedians. The latest picture of President Trump, outside on a windy day away from any kind of artificial lighting, reveals the full extent of his dermal colour scheme which doesn’t even reach the edge of his face. The image highlights the sharp contrast between Mr Trump’s face and the event horizon of his scalp.
Trump has always been sensitive about his appearance, and the latest picture did not go well with him. He said on Twitter on Saturday about the black-and-white version on Saturday, “More Fake News. This was photoshopped, obviously, but the wind was strong, and the hair looks good? Anything to demean!”
White House Photos later said in a tweet: “This picture was never photoshopped, but used the Apple smartphone’s photo app to adjust the color of the picture.” Several other Twitter users mocked the President’s picture with hilarious comments. “The stain of impeachment never washes off,” wrote one user. Another wrote, “Tupperware after you store spaghetti in it.”
