On Thursday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has put the United States President Donald Trump’s written letter, directing him not to “be a tough guy” or “don’t be a fool”, and warned him to be viewed as a “devil” if he further invades Northern Syria, “into the dustbin”, reported source.
Turkish Presidential sources told the reporters that “President Erdogan received the letter, thoroughly rejected it and put it in the bin.”
The written letter was sent on October 9, the same day the US troops were pulled out of Northern Syria, President Trump told the Turkish President, “Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!”
His letter reads, “Let’s work out a good deal! You don’t want to be responsible for slaughtering thousands of people, and I don’t want to be responsible for destroying the Turkish economy – and I will.”
“History will look upon you favorably if you get this done the right and humane way. It will look upon you forever as the devil if good things don’t happen,” President Trump wrote in the letter.
The letter was received by President Erdogan on the same day they have introduced cross-border attacks against the Kurdish-led forces in Northern Syria.
America has been condemned for withdrawing its militants from the region, a step considers as a cue for the Turkish troops to cross the border.
