POTUS administration submits withdrawal notice from WHO - TNBC USA

The Trump administration has submitted a notice to the United Nations secretary-general that the US won’t be a part of the World Health Organization, will be effective from July 2021.

After blasting the WHO for weeks, calling them China’s Puppet. On Tuesday, The white house officially notified The congressmen the exist.

Senator Bob Menendez tweeted: ” “Congress received notification that POTUS officially withdrew the U.S. from the @WHO in the midst of a pandemic,”

Within this one Year notice, Washington needs to clear out all dues as per 1948 joint resolution of the U.S. Congress. Currently, according to the WHO website, The United States owes more than $200 Million in assessed contributions. This will end more than 70 years of membership with the Geneva-based organization.

However, Trump’s decision can be overturned if he gets defeated by its democratic rival, forms VP Joe Biden, in November Election. On his Tweet, he mentioned: “Americans are safer when America is engaged in strengthening global health. On my first day as President, I will rejoin the @WHO and restore our leadership on the world stage.”
