Obama’s Remarks Over Mass Shootings, “Reject Language Feeding Climate Of Fear” - TNBC USA

On Monday, former US President Barack Obama has warned leaders who are feeding “a climate of fear” through their rhetoric as the country has mourned 31 people dead in less than two weekend mass shootings.

Obama said in a rare statement that “we should soundly reject language coming out of the mouths of any of our leaders that feeds a climate of fear and hatred or normalizes racist sentiments.”

However, he didn’t specially mentioned the US President Donald Trump, who has been charged in the rouse of the massacres in El Paso, Texas, Ohio, and Dayton of ventilating the flame of intolerance via his anti-immigrant rhetoric

Barack Obama is singled out leader who “demonize those who don’t look like us, or suggest that other people, including immigrants, threaten our way of life, or refer to other people as sub-human, or imply that America belongs to just one certain type of people.”
