Iraq has taken a vow to guarantee the safety of US interests from Iran as per the statement of the US State Secretary  Mike Pompeo as he paid a surprise tour to Baghdad where he charged Tehran of the decision of “ imminent ” attacks.

The undeclared visits of the top US diplomats remarked an effort to stand up the ties of Washington with Baghdad as it pushes ahead with its “ maximum pressure ” against Tehran – a  US arch-rival, but an ally of Iraq.

US State Secretary, Mike Pompeo unexpectedly dismissed the discussions in Germany and made a prolonged detour from a European tour for spending four hours in Iraq, where he met both Prime Minister Adel Abdel Mahdi and President Barham Saleh.

US State Secretary, Mike Pompeo stated to the reporters, “ we talked to them about the importance of Iraq ensuring that it’s able to adequately protect Americans in their country”.

He added, “they both provided assurances that they understood that was their responsibility.

US State Secretary, Mike Pompeo informed that he had to tour because Iranian forces are “escalating their activity ” and also told the threat of attacks were very certain. He also added, “these were attacks that were imminent ”.

He refused to reveal any further detail about the alleged plot, which has been met with the infidelity in numerous quarters, along with leading Democratic legislators fearing that US President Donald Trump’s administration is interested to instigate a war with Iran.

Following the current US move, the Pentagon said it was sending multiple several massive, nuclear competent B-52s to the region.

According to the statement released by the Pentagon, the deployment was in response to the “recent and clear indications that Iranian and Iranian proxy forces were making preparations to possibly attack US forces”.

Washington declared it was shipping an aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East as National Security Advisor John Bolton alerted Iran that Washington would reply with “ unrelenting force” to any attack by Tehran, along with its regional allies.
