Tara Reade, the accuser of Joe Biden called on him to drop out of the US presidential race, saying she would take a polygraph about the alleged encounter if he did. Mr. Biden was accused by the woman of sexually assaulting her in a Capitol Hill corridor 27 years ago when she was a 29-year-old aide in the then-senator’s office.

The accusation has created a major obstruction in Biden’s presidential campaign. However, he has denied all the charges raised against him. “Joe Biden, please step forward and be held accountable. You should not be running on character for the president of the United States,” Reade said in an interview with journalist Megyn Kelly .

In The released clip on Thursday, the anchor asked her if she wants Joe Biden to withdraw, to which she answered,”I wish he would, but he won’t.”

“I think it’s a little late” for an apology, she added.

It was for the first time on-camera interview of Reade since the Democratic Party’s presumptive presidential nominee released a statement Friday declining all the charges. Theodore Dronen, Reade’s the then husband mentioned in the court declaration that Reade had told him about  “a problem she was having at work regarding sexual harassment, in US Senator Joe Biden’s office.”

She is not the only one, several other women have accused Biden of assaulting. The 77-year-old Biden’s deputy campaign manager in a statement challenged some of Reade’s assertions.
