An open letter was written to US President Donald Trump by a group of Pittsburgh Jewish leaders on Sunday, reads that the US President is alone responsible for a deadly shooting in the US city at a synagogue.
On Sunday, an elderly group of 11 men was shot dead in the assault on the Tree of Life synagogue by a shooter, who said that he “wanted all Jews to die.” In the attack, six more Jewish were also injured.
The open letter reads, “For the past three years your words and your policies have emboldened a growing white nationalist movement. You yourself called the murderer evil, but yesterday’s violence is the direct culmination of your influence.”
It called President Trump to “fully denounce white nationalism,” to “stop targeting and endangering all minorities,” to “cease your assault on immigrants and refugees” and to “commit yourself to compassionate democratic policies that recognize the dignity of all of us.”
Until Trump succeeds in doing so, he will not be welcomed in the city as Trump shows his intention to visit Pittsburgh, added the letter.
The gunshot sparked an outpouring of shock and grief from American Jews, which happened after pipe bomb, was sent to popular Jewish Philanthropist George Soros. Jewish Soros has always been the target of what most consider as anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.
Such conspiracy theories have accused Jews to dominating finance and government, are rife among “alt-right” movement. That is supportive of US President and has gained key influence in recent years, included in President’s former Chief Strategist Steve Bannon.
