Economist David Lipton Named As IMF’s Interim Leader - TNBC USA

On Tuesday, the United States Economist David Lipton will serve as the International Monetary Fund’s interim leader, replaced Christine Lagarde, who was appointed as the head of European Central Bank, announced the IMF board.

It continued, “We accept Ms. Lagarde’s decision to relinquish her IMF responsibilities temporarily during the nomination period.”

“We have full confidence in First Deputy Managing Director David Lipton as Acting Managing Director of the IMF,” added IMF board.
