Congressional Panel Warns US Can Lose War Against China and Russia - TNBC USA

The warning report by bipartisan congressional panel suggested that the United States should be aware of the concern of their national security, as well as the military crisis for which they can be defeated in a war against China or Russia.

US Congress had assigned the National Defence Strategy Commission to observe the Strategy of the widening of National Defence Standard, which heightens a new phase of “Great Power Competition” with Beijing and Moscow.

The bipartisan congressional panel which is run by a number of former Republican and Democratic officials noticed that as the US military is going through the budget cuts and subsiding of military advantages and the despotic nations including Russia and China are chasing the military escalation targeting “at neutralizing US strengths.”

The commision also said, “America’s military superiority — the hard-power backbone of its global influence and national security — has eroded to a dangerous degree”.

In their report, the panel explained the current focus zone of the United States which includes counter-insurgency operations, missile defence, space and cyber operations, as well as anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare.

The report explained, “Many of the skills necessary to plan for and conduct military operations against capable adversaries — especially China and Russia — have atrophied”.

The report also notes, “The convergence of these trends has created a crisis of national security for the United States.

The report observed, “It leaves unanswered critical questions regarding how the United States will meet the challenges of a more dangerous world”.

The commission also noticed, “The US military could suffer unacceptably high casualties and loss of major capital assets in its next conflict”.

The warning of the commission also stated that across Europe and Asia the naval influences of the United States are steadily declining and it forces the global military balances to shift in the “decidedly adverse” ways which generate the risk factor of conflict.
