Boeing To “Temporarily” Pause MAX Production If Grounding Extended - TNBC USA

Boeing is likely to scale back its production on 737 MAX or even “temporarily” pause its output if the grounding is extended much beyond the current expectations, said Boeing’s Chief Executive.

The company has already cut its output of planes to 42 from 52 within a month, since the aircraft was grounded across the world in March, following two unexplained deadly crashes.

The aerospace giant’s Chief Executive Dennis Muilenburg claims that the flight is likely to resume its service in the fourth quarter, but if it drags out the manufacturing unit “might need to consider possible further rate reductions or other options including a temporary shutdown of the MAX production.”

More details are awaited.
