On Sunday, a person died and 11 more were injured during a shooting in the US city of Minnaepolis, informed police. In a facebook live, a person present at the place showed at least one person lying on the pavements as dozens gathered around while some others were captured screaming for help.
In other footage it was shown that the businesses have shattered windows, and police cars at the scene. On Twitter, Minneapolis police wrote that “12 people have suffered gunshot wounds.”
“1 adult male died and 11 have no -life-threatening wounds,” police added.
However, they did not mention the age of the man who died. There is no information regarding if anyone has been arrested.
Minneapolis has been a centre of anti-racism and police brutality protests that have spread across the US since George Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American man was killed. Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, knelt on Floyd’s neck for almost nine minutes while Floyd was handcuffed and lying face down, begging for his life and repeatedly saying “I can’t breathe.” Minneapolis police was condemned worldwide for this brutality and demonstrators have demanded justice.
