The United States is going to send an aircraft carrier hit group and a bomber task force to the Middle East in a “ clear and unmistakable” signal to Iran, according to the National Security Advisor John Bolton.
National Security Advisor John Bolton claimed in a statement, “ in response to a number of troubling and escalatory indications and warnings, the United States is deploying the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and a bomber task force to the US Central Command region”. John Bolton also informed that the deployment is actually an “a clear and unmistakable message to the Iranian regime that any attack on United States interests or those of our allies will be met with unrelenting force ”.
He also added, “ the United States is not seeking war with the Iranian regime, but we are fully prepared to respond to any attack, whether by proxy, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or regular Iranian forces.”
The statement did not describe specifically why the deployment is becoming crucial, but it emerges during a brutal intensification between Gaza-based Palestine militants and Israel in which both sides have dealt a blast of rocket fire and air strikes in recent days.
The deployment also emerges during the deepened tensions between Tehran and Washington over the nuclear program of the latter, along with the US attempting aim at Iranian boosted uranium exports with approvals.
