In a statement from Buenos Aires, US President Trump said that “Melania and I join with a grieving nation to mourn the loss of former president George H.W. Bush,” where he was attending the G20 summit.
“Through his essential authenticity, disarming wit, and unwavering commitment to faith, family, and country, President Bush inspired generations of his fellow Americans to public service,” added the US President.
George HW Bush was the upper-crust war hero-turned-oil man as well as a diplomat, who steered the country through the end of the Cold War as the President of the United States and formed a political dynasty that experienced his son win the White House- died on November 30. He was 94-years old.
In a statement, ex-US president Barack Obama said that “America has lost a patriot and humble servant in George Herbert Walker Bush. While our hearts are heavy today, they are also filled with gratitude.”
HE Bush is survived by five children and 17 grandchildren.
