The auspicious ceremony of the Vedic rituals started at Hanuman Garhi temple on Monday. The three-day rituals will end with “Bhoomi Poojan” on Wednesday. After that, the prime minister will offer his prayers at around 12.13 pm to “Ram Lalla” before going to the stage where the groundbreaking ceremony will take place.
The PM will then lay a 40 Kg silver brick to inaugurate the construction of 161 feet tall Ram mandir which is almost double the size of what was originally planned.
According to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, There were a total of 175 Invitees out of which 135 saints are invited from all over the country for the gala ceremony. keeping in mind of the pandemic situation, on the Dais, there will be only five persons- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, trust chief Nritya Gopaldas Maharaj, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Adityanath. There are also a few high profile Muslim invitees for the event, notable persons like Iqbal Ansari, Waseem Rizvi, Mohammad Sharif, Zufar Ahmed Farooqui.
CM Adityanath visited the holy site on Monday with senior officials to review the preparations. He said, “It is not only a historic but also an emotional moment as after 500 years the Ram temple work will start. It will be the foundation of a new India,” he also added. “The COVID-19 protocol will be strictly followed at the event. As the prime minister will be here representing 135 crore people, I appeal that only those who have been invited should visit Ayodhya. The rest should remain at their respective places,“
The Gala ceremony will be broadcast live from Doordarshan. The CM also urged the people to lit up the earthen lamps, decorate temples and chant the Ramayana in memory of those who laid down their lives fighting for the temple.
