IPL 2018: Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Ajinkya Rahane aims to lead by example

The newly appointed skipper of Rajasthan Royals- Ajinkya Rahane has a very clear cut idea about his new role. In a time when aggression is considered to be synonymous with the passion for the game the 29 year old wants to keep it very humble. He says that he is pretty calm and composed and would like to start his job in that manner only.

Talking one day ahead of starting his new stint as the skipper of an IPL side against the hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad Rahane did not wanted to jump the guns. As per him everyone has a different style of leadership and of playing the game as well but even then players respect each other, said the new skipper in respect to his opponent counterpart Kane Williamson.

Along with him was also England’s Jos Buttler in the press conference who is though younger to Rahane in age but has played three times more number of international matches of T20 as compared to Rahane.Rahane said that everyone leader leads a team in a diferent manner and he feels himself really lucky to have Jos and Ben Stokes with him as the experience of these two guys will come really handy in the shorter format of the game.
