FIFA 2018- France Wins their Second World Cup Showing Flair and Nerve in a Brawl to the Croatians
Moscow (News Service) – As the French Goal Keeper Hugo Lloris kicked the ball towards the opposite side and the referee blew the whistle the France guys ran towards each other holding arms and celebrating like a school lad. This is the second time when France has bagged the world cup after the one that was almost 2 decades ago when Zinedine Zidane had directed them towards a win at their home ground.
A string of joy struck the men in blue, while the red and white remained quiet for a while then clapped in appreciation. France which is considered to be a multi-cultural team showed talent and attitude and a flair nerve while it stood against the Croatians.
The one-month long game that was hosted by Russia, gave every Football fan a nerve break, historic firsts and displayed new faces of the FIFA. The goal of the match was centralized by Croatia. Furthermore, a marvelous balance and power were shown by the Ivan Perisic the Inter Milan star.
Subsequently, the valiant Croats lost the plot and confessed in a three-row. The first of these was a penalty that was scored by Griezmann, who was honored through VAR for an emotive handball felony by Griezmann.
Pogba and Mbappe had set their stage for goals being the first teenager after Pele in 1958 to lay into the World Cup finals. Paul Pogba the France player has scored his third goal with Tolisso and team members.
In the second half, people showered their consolations on Croatia after Lloris attempted a trick past Mandzukic. Luka Modric the talismanic skipper of Croatia received a Golden Ball for being the best player of the Tournament. Howbeit, the Young Player of the tournament went to Mbappe.

FIFA World Cup 2018: Missed chances cost star-studded Brazil dearly as they lose to Belgium’s golden generation
FIFA World Cup 2018: At any other World Cup, Brazil would’ve beaten Belgium with its emerged champions. Brazil was dominating the possession; Belgium was also probing their opponents on counter-attacks
The referee consulted with the VAR and decided against the penalty, but replays showed that there was contact from Kompany. Possibly, the reason behind not awarding the penalty was the fact that the ball was heading out.
Renato Augusto, who made the most use of the space given to him and headed the ball inside the net. Brazil in previous games had shown that perseverance is their hallmark. They were not going out of the World Cup without a fight. Costa on the right went for the glory on more than one occasion but they were only getting blocked. Augusto was guilty of squandering a golden chance when he hit the ball inches wide from the goal. Coutinho wasted another great opportunity from a position where he should have buried it while Courtois pulled off a save with his fingertips when Neymar went for the top-right corner of the goal. In the last 10 minutes. Brazil tried their best, to score the second goal but just not being able to do it.
Get the HIGHLIGHTS BETWEEN BELGIUM VS JAPAN, 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP, STRAIGHT FROM ROSTOV ARENA ROSTOV-ON-DON
Courtois, though, was in no mood to give Brazil any chance of making a comeback. Marcelo’s fierce left-footer from the left-corner of the box got the best out of Courtois. The idea of playing De Bruyne in the false nine roles with Hazard and Lukaku using the width of the ground was showing promise, but not in any way looking threatening in terms of goals.
The match could’ve been a fitting finale considering the talent both the sides boast of. For Brazil, the defeat might not be as humiliating as the 2014 semi-final loss to Germany, but surely this one might be more painful. This time around, they had a better squad, just that it was not their day against Belgium. Belgium got their plans right and executed them to perfection. It’s also because they have the players who can play to a plan. Players who have proven their caliber in top leagues and won competitions.

FIFA World Cup 2018: Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli promises ‘aggression’ against France
On Saturday, June 30, 2018- Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli, promised an ‘aggressive’ brand of football against France on the eve of their Round of 16 clashes at the Kazan Arena here. Sampaoli said, in a press conference, “Argentina will play an aggressive style of football. We are going to attack them all the time”. The coach refused to divulge information about his starting line-up for Saturday’s game, saying he was yet to make his mind up about the same.
The former Sevilla manager, “The two teams are not the same. We want to be able to control the game throughout. We don’t want France to use their speed against us. If we don’t control the game, it will become very physical, which won’t suit our style”.
Talking about the star player, Sampaoli highlighted that ‘he had plans to help Lionel Messi enjoy more freedom up front’. “I’m sure France have their plans to neutralize Messi but we have our own plans to make his life easier; so we will see who can execute their plans better. France will have success to the extent that we are not accurate. They will try to get us to make mistakes. It will all be about how we handle different situations. I have a contract and I am quite happy to be here,” he curtly responded to a query.
Sampaoli replied, “I don’t think we can solve penalties just with a training session. There are so many factors involved when it comes to shootouts. We did spend some time with our goalkeepers looking at how others may shoot”.
On Saturday, June 30, 2018, he said, ‘extremely difficult to accept defeat’ against France, the Argentine tactician stressed that he was not worried about his future with the team despite growing speculation that he would be removed from his position if La Albiceleste crashes out.

We knew God was with us and wasn’t going to let us go out: Messi
On Tuesday. after the match an emotional Messi said, “We knew God was with us and wasn’t going to let us go out”. Messi also admitted that he survived the most nerve-wracking 90 minutes of his career as Marcus Rojo’s stunning finish, four minutes kept his and Argentina’s hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Nigeria to reach the last 16. “I don’t remember such suffering,” said Messi when asked if it was the tensest match of his career.
“After the penalty, we got a little nervous and worried about not getting through,” said Sampaoli “It was due to the situation and what we were playing for”.
“We were obviously delighted at the end. The players played with their heart, they are rebels, they have achieved a very important victory looking to the future.”
Higuain just could not flick the ball beyond the onrushing Francis Uzoho from a defense-splitting pass before Uzoho then tipped a Messi free-kick onto the post.
Argentina was rocked at the start of the second period, though, when Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir pointed to the spot when Javier Mascherano tangled with Oghenekaro Etebo at a corner.
Moses confidently stepped up to send Franco Armani the wrong way on his international debut and Argentina back to square one.
“We need to make passes to Leo so he can create chances,” added Sampaoli. “If not we suffer, we know we have the best player in the world and we have to benefit from that.
“It is for that reason I said the Croatia match was our fault, not his.”
Croatia captain Luka Modric claimed his side “cut off Messi” in Nizhny Novgorod five nights ago, but he was back to close to his Barcelona best at the heart of all Argentina’s best moves in a positive first 45 minutes.
There was further VAR controversy when Nigeria was denied a second penalty as Rojo headed onto his own arm before substitute Odion Ighalo fired wide.
“I don’t understand how that wasn’t a penalty. For me it was a clear penalty,” said Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel.

Lionel Messi: Argentina ‘didn’t deserve to go out’ in World Cup group stage
On Tuesday Lionel Messi said, “Argentina didn’t deserve to go out in the first round as all his teammates barely escaped elimination at the World Cup with a late 2-1 win over Nigeria”.
Messi told TyC Sports after the game, “It was an amazing way to qualify. It took a lot from us but we didn’t deserve to go out in the first round, so we’re all very happy. We knew we were going to win, but we hadn’t expected it to be as tough as it was.”
Messi admitted that Argentina had a nerve rack as they pushed for a winning goal and said it was a “huge relief for all of us” to go through.
Messi, at his postgame press conference, said, “It has been a very balanced game, we were able to control the first half, we had better possession, we tried to create opportunities even after the first goal, and we thought that the second half was going to be similar”. “However, they were able to score with the penalty, and that goal made things more difficult because then we got nervous. We had the impression of time going by faster”.
he said, “I want to thank all the fans for the enormous sacrifice they made to be here and fill the stadium. And the people who are in Argentina suffering with us. They never let all the things they were saying about us to be in their heads, they kept believing and demonstrated that the feelings for a national team are above everything.”
“I told them, I told Ever [Banega] and [Nicolas Otamendi] that I was going to score,” Rojo said. “I dedicated this to my family, they supported me in a bad time. This group of players deserves this more than anyone else. This is just the beginning.”
“Our World Cup begins today,” the superstar said. “We had to win any way we could, and from today this needs to be a new World Cup for us.”
Messi said, “We have watched every single France game. We have watched every single game during this World Cup. We follow every game, and France is a very good team. They have good individual players, very skilled ones, good defenders, good midfielders, very good forwards”. He also added, “They have very fast players who can really make a difference and I also have [club] teammates that I know very well, both in the front and back line. I know who they are, and I know what we have to do. It’s going to be a very tough game, no doubt.”

World Cup 2018: Iran Coach Blasts VAR As Cristiano Ronaldo Escapes Sending Off
With the latest reports of the FIFA world cup, Iran acquired with Portugal 1-1 in their final Group B match, held on Monday. This match couldn’t stop Cristiano Ronaldo’s men from entering the FIFA World Cup 2018 last 16.
Iran coach, Carlos Queiroz said, “Cristiano Ronaldo was fortunate to escape a red card despite a VAR review following an elbow in the drawn match. Portugal will face Uruguay in the last 16 after advancing as runners-up of Group B, but Queiroz insisted Ronaldo deserved to be sent off for catching Iran defender Morteza Pouraliganji with an elbow to the face” he also added, “I don’t want to talk too much, it’s about my country and a player. I know it’ll be a war against me”.
“But the reality has you stopped the game for VAR, there is an elbow. An elbow is a red card in the rules. In the rules, it doesn’t say if it is (Lionel) Messi or Ronaldo…”
It was a busy evening for the video assistant referee in Saransk as two penalties were awarded upon review, on top of the Ronaldo altercation.
“We accepted human mistakes before, that was part of the game. Players make mistakes, coaches make mistakes and referees make mistakes,” said Queiroz.
“But now you have one system that cost a fortune. It’s high-tech with five, six people inside and what happens? Nobody takes responsibilities.
Portugal defender Cedric was then penalized in stoppage time for a handball, and Karim Ansarifard converted from the spot to give Iran a lifeline.
Mehdi Taremi nearly snatched a dramatic winner after a deflected shot rolled into his path, but he fired into the side netting as Iran were eliminated in agonizing fashion.
Ronaldo cut a frustrated figure after failing to add to his four-goal tally at the Mordovia Arena, suffering the same penalty misfortune as Lionel Messi earlier in the competition.
“I understand, it’s normal. The best players in the world face that when there isn’t an opportunity to really make it happen,” said Portugal boss Fernando Santos.
“Uruguay have high quality and top-notch players. They’re excellent but Portugal are too and we’re going to try and find a way to win.”

FIFA World Cup: What Argentina need to do to stay alive
After being the business end of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, many of the teams are left for the top spot on their group with a spot in the Round of 16 up for grabs.
Lionel Messi, with an inability to win a major trophy with Argentina, has also dogged his record-breaking career. Argentina now currently acquire the fourth place in Group D and stand second-place with Nigeria in their last group match today.
Messi’s Russian campaign threatens, to be remembered for the tame penalty lick that cost Argentina victory against Iceland and the lackluster performance that followed against Croatia. Argentina’s chances hang by a thread and unless Messi’s own performances improve, he will likely retire from the international stage without being a world champion given that he will be 35 when the next World Cup comes around in four years.
Messi’s Argentina will be eliminated with a defeat or a tie. Here’s what they need to do to:
– Should Iceland beat Croatia, Argentina will need to beat Nigeria by two more goals than Iceland win their match.
– If Argentina beat Nigeria and Iceland beat Croatia, both teams will be level on points. In this scenario, the two teams’ respective disciplinary records will come into play, and this is where Jorge Sampaoli’s men are in the red because they have three yellow cards whereas Iceland has none.
– To qualify for the Round of 16, Argentina needs to beat Nigeria and hope that Iceland loses to Croatia.
From Group D, with six points, Croatia sit on top and only need one point against Iceland to win the group. Nigeria (four points) can top the group if they beat Argentina and Croatia lose to Ireland, as well as if Nigeria’s goal difference improves ahead of Croatia.

Mohamed Salah, Neymar, Lionel Messi: FIFA World Cup stars stifled
The FIFA World Cup 2018 has set up a trembling start for football legends including Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah and Neymar.
With nagging injuries, heavy marking from opponents and some simply uninspired play, the top stars of the 2018 World Cup have struggled to deliver on the impossible expectations they carried into the tournament, with one prominent Portuguese exception.
Overall, Switzerland fouled Brazil 19 times, with little intervention from the referee, and it worked — especially on Neymar. Brazilians suggested their opponents were too violent; Swiss midfielder Gelson Fernandes thinks Neymar has another problem.
“He just falls too much,” Fernandes said after the game in Rostov-on-Don. “Out of these 10, only seven or eight were fouls. We have to stop their star, and he is the star.”
Superstar Lionel Messi did face heavy marking too, but he also had two uninspired performances for Argentina, which is now on the verge of early elimination after a 3-0 defeat against Croatia.
Throughout the matches against Iceland and Croatia, disciplined defenders and midfielders stopped Messi from making his famous runs and getting one-on-one chances.
No one has had rougher treatment from the opposition than the world’s priciest player, Neymar. During Brazil’s opening 1-1 draw with Switzerland, the 26-year-old was fouled 10 times, the highest number on a single player in a single match since the 1998 World Cup, when England’s Alan Shearer took 11 challenges against Tunisia
Against Iceland, Messi saw his penalty spot kick saved by goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson, and the game ended 1-1.
Against Croatia, he crumbled with the rest of the team, which now desperately needs to beat Nigeria in the last round of group stage to have a chance of advancing to the next phase.
“Messi is human,” Aguero said after the Iceland match. “Sometimes things happen for a reason. We need to be with him. This was a bad day, but he can decide a match at any given moment. Hope he is better against Croatia.”

Iran could give FIFA World Cup 2018 ‘this time for Asia’ moment: Bhaichung Bhutia
Monday, June 18, 2018- According to the recent reports, being eight years ago, ‘this time for Africa’ and but for the hand of Luis Suarez, there may well have been a first African team in the World Cup semi-finals. 2010 was also the last time an Asian team survived the group.
For really being, if someone wants to make money then should plan for Iran. Truly, Iran not only requires a luck but they were also organized and reaping the benefits of being under the same coach for their second successive World Cup, Carlos Queiroz.
Though it would be hard enough to cope them with Spain’s slick, passing game, everyone is also curious to look how Iran would deal with Portugal. Queiroz acknowledged everything about Portugal that their reliance on one man could make deconstruction easier. Reports faced that the players want to stay only because Queiroz has helped them to grow much better. It also included that Queiroz, is to Iran what Bob Houghton was for us; someone whose influence extends beyond the pitch.
Barring Iran, with all his teams from all over Asia have reached to Russia with their coaches. South Korea’s Son Heung-min is an exception rather than the rule but like Lionel Messi, he often struggles to replicate his club form for country. Heung-min’s teammate, Harry Kane would begin his campaign on Monday and his England team is different from the one whose line would be led by Alan Shearer or have a fox-in-box like Gary Lineker. Wes Brown, sharing a television studio, replied that, “for a change, the English media has turned down the volume and I think near-zero expectations can only be a good thing”.

FIFA Opening Ceremony 2018: Robbie Williams sings at the World Cup
Hosts in Russia made the FIFA Opening ceremony a grandeur defeating Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the second highest win ever recorded in an opening series. The game was celebrated too early as the Arabian player gave along with Denis Cheryshev gave an astounding performance in the premature hours.
The famous pop star Robbie Williams performed on the beats of ‘Let me Entertain you’ in the opening ceremony. It was perhaps assured that Williams would kick-start the FIFA world cup 2018. His performance created a disquiet among the football fans. The opening was quite rugged for the British mass, however, it was anticipated that it had the same impression on the rest of the world.
Admitting it was a super bowl halftime show hosted on a partial budget, it displayed women in some Fifa approved national apparel. Instead of making the show a full time dragged out epic it was made a mixture of partial songs.
Waiving off the game the “official anthem” of the game was quivering. Coca-Cola has backed the tournament and has its own anthem- Colors, by Jason Derulo and Maluma. Telemundo which holds the Spanish language broadcast rights.
While moving towards the verdict there are some unofficial songs from the Rasputin Rebooted by the Stars House Band that features Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefsand. The song to too vile to be chanted across the streets. You can also consider giving an ear to the Chin Up by hipsters du jour Rhythm Method.
However, the FIFA seems to have given way to the old melodies too! Old music too gets the hail around the corner invited by advertising campaigns. 2018 the movie directed by Guy Ritchie called Made Defiant has commissioned a four-minute mini-movie. This illustrated the ‘Origin Stories’ of the World Cup stars which are anticipated to be heard at the AC/DC on Coca-Cola ads and Major Lazer on Pepsi ads.

During February, Neymar was sidelined following his foot injury and likely to get back in action before the World Cup this summer. The team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, promised this news on Friday and assured that Neymar is recovering the best way possible.
As told to GloboEsporte, Lasmar stated that the Brazilian star is working very hard on recovering and expecting to arrive well-prepared for participating in the football World Cup training.
Currently recuperating in a coastal mansion in Rio de Janeiro, Neymar told last week that he is unable to return back before 17th May, as the date will reveal his final medical progress. He had undergone a surgery on 3rd March in Belo Horizonte and this medical examination will provide the latest reports on his foot injury.
However, it is still not clear whether he will play for Paris Saint-Germain against Caen on 19th May. But he is determined to recover back for playing in the World Cup to be held in Russia from June 14th to July 15th.
The players from Brazil football team will attend a training campaign in Teresopolis from 21st to 27th May, but Lasmar is acknowledging Neymar’s absence from the pitch in order to concentrate on his tailored fitness program.
The Brazil team doctor also said that Neymar’s physical fitness has recently decreased and hence it needs improvement first. He added that there is individual evaluation process for players who are recovering from injuries, as it will help in designing the best possible strategies for them.
Neymar da Silva Santos Junior, 26-year-old forward player and most expensive in football history, injured his right foot and broke a bone. The Brazillian player received the injury on 26th February, when his team was playing a match against Marseille and was in lead by 3-0 in the game.

‘DON’T FLY FLAGS’ Alert To England Fans – FIFA 2018 Warning
This year, more than ten thousand Fans of the Three Lions are estimated to travel to Russia for FIFA 2018, despite the mounting threats over their lives.
Serious risks like diplomatic poisoning revelations from Russian spy and terrorist attacks are in line to trouble these fans. Even cops are also warning British fans, not to sing songs or display the Cross of St. George in the football tournament.
As per sources, any kind of provocative act can trigger into a violent reaction during the match.
South Yorkshire Deputy Chief constable, Mark Roberts, who is also the security in charge in the tournament for England fans said, there is a strong patriotic and nationalistic movement running through the society. It is going on quite firmly behind the Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Regarding flying flags in public, Mark stated in an interview with the Sun that it might increase the attention towards British fans and they may get into trouble.
In case, the Brits face any trouble during FIFA 2018 tournament, they may face troubles while asking for diplomatic help from Britain’s embassy in the country.
Following the attack by nerve agent on Sergei Skirpa along with his daughter, Yulia, Britain had reduced count of Russian staff. And this has led to reducing British staff from the embassy.
Among the twenty-three diplomat staffs, who were forced to leave behind their jobs in Moscow, several were Britain’s football officials.
Overall, 28,000 tickets have been purchased by England fans for FIFA World Cup matches and this happened before the tension got worse between the West and Putin.
Also, there is an active threat circulated by Russian Hooligans, who promised to hunt down British fans and may even kill them in the streets.
Mostly, the football hooligan comprises FC Spartak Moscow, FC Zenit Saint, and CSKA Moscow, who are coming together to attack rival countries in street wars and violence, during the football World Cup.
During Euro 2016, things got extremely bloody between sets of fans, when Russia and England clashed and many were piled up on floors after the attacks.
However, President Donald Trump and the Russian president are about to meet at the White House, later this month. This may bring out some resolution to ease out the tense situation ahead of the World Cup matches.
