With a boom in the number of tourists visiting Japan, both local and international chains of the hotel are getting eager to target such massive outburst of foreign tourists.
Situated in western Japan is the city of Beppu which primarily famous for its hot springs where the hotels and resorts are in constant competition with each other to get the major share of the visiting tourists in this area which is renowned for sights like the “Hells of Beppu” which is actually a series of super-hot and naturally colored pools. As the volume of Japanese people visiting this resort plateaus are increasing constantly the hotel industry is eyeing to maximize their business out of this.
Although the volume of tourists visiting this place decreased in 2016 as a result of an earthquake in nearby Kumamoto the spot soon revived its fame to set new records in 2017. The highest chunk of foreign tourists has been headed by the South Koreans who have spearheaded 130 percent rise in foreign staying in Beppu over last five years. In these five years of economic reforms under the leadership of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo, the rise in inbound tourism has been a remarkable success while other segments like growth in wage and inflation saw mixed results.
