VM Sudheeran, a Senior Congress Leader quits UDF Committee

On Tuesday, a former Party President and Senior Congress Leader of Kerala VM Sudheeran declared that he resigns from the UDF (United Democratic Front) committee position.

This committee is the highest decision making body of UDF, where every team has its own representative.

Sudheeran reports press, which was followed by his announcement that “I have informed the Leader of opposition and others about my decision. This is it for the time being and does not wish to say anything more.”

After Congress took the decision to permit alienated former supporter of Kerala Congress, Mr. Sudheeran is quite disappointed with the party. Mani is lead by K.M. Mani, a former Minister, who re-admits into UDF after a time span of 2-years hiatus in this June.

He is also disappointed with the Rajya Sabha seat that was given to Congress by Mani’s party, in return to re-admit at the UDF.

Mr. Sudheeran, who in 2015 was a President of State party, came up with a shocking announcement for many of his senior team members. He many times has taken a strong decision against his supporting party, which at that time led by CM Oommen Chandy.

Just a month after the Assembly Elections of 2016, he also left the position of party President. However, that decision he made on the ill-health ground and this time it is something matter of concern for the Party members.
