UP: Another Car Attacked by Kanwar Pilgrims

Muzaffarnagar: Again a group of Kanwar pilgrims have been seen chasing and attacking a car  in UP. This is not the first time that happened in the state, earlier also Kanwar pilgrims had also attacked grey Hyundai car near Delhi Moti nagar. The incident of car vandalize took place when the car brushed past them, pilgrims grab  the car on spot and attack brutally but the passenger successfully escaped from the spot with minor injury.  

As Kanwar pilgrims enjoy a free run but from past few days they creates lot of chaos and public disruptions in the middle of the road and city. The Social Media users has raised a question on Police authorities. They even asked for the immediate action against the pilgrims who unchecked by police. Social Media users also raised an alarm on those police officers who has been greeted Kanwar Pilgrims with rose petals.

No, restrict action has been taking yet after the incident went  viral on social media platforms.

The Kanwar Yatra basically is an annual pilgrimage by the Shiva devotees who walk from their homes to Haridwar, Gaumukh, Gangotri in UttaraKhand to bring a pot filled with Ganga water during Sharavan, the fourth month of the Hindu Calendar (July 23 – Aug 22). The Ganga water is used as an offering to their local Shiva on Amavasya or the New Moon day or Shivaratri day.
