Odisha with high-security alters, after 14 Maoist killed in Chhattisgarh

In Malkangiri District of Odisha, a high-security alert was raised to protect Maoist’s influx from neighbor Chhattisgarh. Yesterday in Chhattisgarh, 14 Maoists were gunned down by Security force, reports a Senior Policeman.

However, the present situation of Malkangiri is under control, but he said that Police “cannot afford to be complacent.”

A Police Superintendent Jagmohan Meena expressed that “After an exchange of fire, Maoists usually flee from the site of encounter in search of a safe location. As Malkangiri shares boundary with Chhattisgarh, the rebels may try to sneak into our territory.”
