Lok Sabha for the third-time, temporarily adjourns over Rafale deal

Again on Thursday, the Lok Sabha temporarily adjourned for the third time over the issue of Rafale Row raised by the Congress party members.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, soon the Lower House started at 1 pm asked Piyush Goyal, the Union Finance Minister to introduced three bills before the House.

When Mr. Goyal was introducing the three bills to the House for amendment, 2017 Union Terrorists GST Act, 2017 Goods, and Services Tax Act (GST) and 2017 GST (Compensation to States) Act, members of Congress suddenly started raising slogans.

Following the mess that took place, the Lok Sabha Speakers briefly adjourned the House till 2 pm.

Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge has already aroused the issue of Rafale Row during the Zero Hour. He complains that the security of Nation is in danger and added that Modi-government is trying to misguide the Nation over the issue of Rafale deal.

Mr. Kharge recalled that the Rafale deal under UPA government was finalized at Rs. 526 per aircraft and “now there is a three-time increase in the price of the aircraft to 1,600 crores per aircraft.”

He exclaims that “Rafale is the biggest scam of the country worth Rs. 45, 000 crores.” Therefore, asked for a Joint Parliament Committee to resolve the issue.

After the statement of Mr. Kharge, all the present Congress members in the House approached at the podium of the Speaker with “stop misleading Parliament and People” continued saying, “Constitute JPC on Rafale.” Then the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had to briefly adjourn the House till 1 pm, for a time span of 20 minutes.

Earlier during the Question Hour, the House was adjourned for 10 minutes as TRS (Telangana Rashtriya Samiti) members created confusions over the allotment of State’s defense land.
