A resident of Jaipur, who have been kept in a Pakistan jail for the last 36-years is supposed to walk free the coming week, says Jaipur’s Parliament Members.
VK Singh, Minister of External Affairs of State said a delegation led Ramcharan Bohra today in New Delhi that Gajanand will be released from the foreign country on Pakistan’s Independence Day evening.
Mr. Bohra expressed, “This minister has assured us that Gajanand would be released from the jail in Lahore on August 13.”
He added that Gajanand’s age now might be 68-years. He during the time of his caught, he was punished with two months jail but remained in Pakistan as he did not have any consular access at that time.
In May, Jaipur Police reports that Mr. Gajanand was at that time in Lahore behind the bars, as the force received an inquiry for the verification of his nationality.
This raised the re-hope of his wife Mrs. Makhni Devi and two son’s Mukesh and Rakesh, to see him again. However, the lawmakers raised a question about the arrival of Mr. Gajanand in Pakistan and also the reason behind his two months jail.
