Ben Gurien March 23- An Air India aircraft yesterday entered the Saudi airbase and created history by using the Saudi airbase as a foreign airliner. The Indian airliner landed at the Ben Gurion airport of Tel Aviv after flying for nearly eight hours at a stretch . This decision of Saudi Arabia ended a 70 year old ban of Saudi Arabia on the use of it’s airebase. The Air India Dreamliner 787 -8 reached the Saudi airbase at 16- 45 GMT after travelling from Oman. Israeli Foreign Minister Yariv Levin has said that if an aircraft can avail the facility of using the Saudi airbase it can reach Israel two hours early. He also jokingly added that the Indian aircraft was taking an undue advantage as a foreign airliner because Saudi Arabia till date did not allow any El Al aircraft to use their airbase.
