India and Thailand Army force from yesterday stared a two-week military exercise. This military exercise aims at enhancing anti-terror cooperation between the two countries.
In concern to this military exercise, a Senior Army Officer highlighted the word “Maitree”. That will enhance coordination and help to maximize interoperability in dealing with the terrorism challenges.
He further said, “The exercise will emphasize to hone the tactical and technical skills in joint counter insurgency and counter-terrorist operations in the rural and urban scenario under UN mandate.”
The Senior Army Officer reports that “Both sides will jointly train, plan and execute a series of well developed tactical drills that may be encountered in an urban warfare scenario.”
