In Jammu and Kashmir’s road accident, 11 people died and lone survived 5-years old

A vehicle suddenly slides off the road, which was carrying Yatris to a temple and fell into River Chenab in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. In the road accident, 11 people died and only 5-years old child survived reports to police.

Reports state that the pilgrims came back from Machail Pilgrimage.

DGP Shesh Paul of Jammu and Kashmir reported source that “a vehicle carrying pilgrims to the Machail Mata Temple rolled down and fell into the Chenab River, around 28 km from Kishtwar, in the Padder belt area today.”

At the time of rescuing operation, a total number of dead body found was 11 from the accident spot. The only one who was injured and survived is a 5-years old child. He continued that the lone survived child is undergoing necessary medical aid at a nearby hospital. However, the gender and detail of the child along with the vehicle description are yet to get unveiled.

In the last 24 hours, this accident is listed as the second one to take place in the same spot. On Monday, including a policeman and 7 persons died in another road accident. In the first incident, over 12 people were badly injured and 2 cars came under a landslide in the district. The road accident took place in the Doda-Kishtwar road at Kulligad.
