DMK Chief M. Karunanidhi donated his house for a Hospital set-up in 2010

DMK Chief M. Karunanidhi has gifted his house for hospital set-up in Chennai for poor people in 2010. He had purchased that resident at upscale Gopalapuram in 1955.

On his 86th birth anniversary celebration, he gifted the resident to Annai Anjugam Trust (named after Late Karunanidhi’s mother) to settle a hospital for poor people and treat them at minimum charges and to an extent free of cost.

In the year 1968, the Late DMK Chief has registered the resident in the name of Alagiri, Tamilarasu and Stalin, his sons. Later taking all of their consent, he donated the resident to the Trust to help and support poor, every possible way.

A Raja, the ex-Union Minister and Vairamuthu, a popular Tamil lyricist are nominated among the trustee members of the Annai Anjugam Trust. This portrays his helpful character, love for people and a big heart of the Late DMK Chief M. Karunanidhi.
