Student’s Union Election in JNU to be held for 4 crucial posts

Elections for the intensely contested JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) Students’ Union Election is on-going with students queued up to cast their valuable votes for the four important posts of President, Vice-President, Joint Secretary, and Secretary as well.

The first phase of the election commenced at 9:30 am and continued till 1:30 pm. Second phase voting started at 2:30 pm till 5:30 pm.

Election authorities for JNU Students’ Union have made all the arrangements for the election, which finally organized after various controversies that shaken the university worldwide in the recent past.

Student’s Federation of India (SFI), Left-backed All India Student’s Association (AISA), All India Student’s Federation (AISF) and Democratic Student’s Federation (DSF) have come together to outline the United-Left alliance.

Other than routine campaigning, the candidates in JNUSU elections also taken part in the Presidential debate the last to last day at night and replied all the questions that were raised.
