The most prominent university of the nation the ‘Delhi University’ has announced its cut off for the 2018 admissions. India’s most sought institutions, the DU admissions have begun after it announced it cut-off list early this week.
Admissions in the Delhi University are all set to blossom! Subjects like Mass Communication and English have been revealed from a massive amount of students while Political Science (Hons) has sought attention to the top rank holders of the all India examination held by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and ISC (Indian School Certificate) Class XII exams.
The prime scorers of the class XII exams were Anoushka Chandra with a 99.6% percent mark followed by Tamanna Dahinya who scored 99.25%. The candidates have chosen to take admission in the Lady Shri Ram College of Commerce for the Political Science (Hons) course.
“I have applied for English and History at St Stephen’s College too. But my first preference is Political Science, which St Stephen’s College doesn’t offer. So I will continue to hold on to my seat here. I want to continue with academics and study International Relations at O P Jindal Global University,” – said an Ambala based student Dahiya.
She was a student of History, Political Science, Economics, Mathematics and English in her class XII. In the previous year, the average cut off was 98.75% for BA programme in the Lady Shri Ram College. For the bachelors in Electronics at SGTB Khalsa College, the cut off remained at 99.6%. Khalsa College had set a cut off of a top notch 99% for BA (Hons) in Political Science. However, for Science, the cut off was 98 percent in Hindu college.
On Monday the Delhi University declared its first cut off list for undergraduate programs based on merit in the academic year 2018-19. The highest cut off remained for the Shri Ram College at 98.75 percent.
