Dichen Lachman, the Nepalese-Australian actor, has joined Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s threequel Jurassic World 3. Lachman is best known for her excellent performance in the Netflix series Altered Carbon and TNT show the Animal Kingdom.
Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World 3, also stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum. The cinema will see Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles. Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise are also part of the cast.
Lachman is also known for her roles as Jiaying on A.B.C./Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The actress will next be seen in the comedy feature Bad Therapy starring Alicia Silverstone, Haley Joel Osment, and Rob Corddry.
Trevorrow directed the Jurassic World in 2015, which collected a massive gross $1.67 billion WW and is the sixth-highest-grossing film in cinema history. The director Trevorrow is planning to discuss with EP Steven Spielberg and producer Frank Marshall on the management of the growing Jurassic brand, including video games, toys, novels, animated LEGO series, and theme parks.
This June, the Jurassic franchise will turn 27, and it has amassed well north of $5B through five movies at the global box office. The first part of Jurassic Park was released in 1993, which was directed by Steven Spielberg.
