Cannes chief Thierry Fremaux’s radical changes draw flak

For the he first time when the steam engine was pulled on the tracks the public got afraid and termed it as the black monster, when a learned scientist said that the earth was round he was criticized and ridiculed by a huge mass who strongly believed that the earth is flat but then again it has been the way of the world since the very beginning. Any discovery of any invention or any change is bound to face criticism just as what has been done by the Cannes Film Festival chief Thierry Fremaux to the press screenings.

Every may some 400 plus critics gather on the French Riviera but this year they are very very upset because they feel that a decade old privilege has been taken away from them. Just last week in an interview with a French magazine Fremaux told that the morning show meant for the press screening the competition movie starting from the Festival’s 71st edition was that which is scheduled from may 8 to 19 will be shown in the evening as that will coincide with the black tie red carpet gala event for the public including the film industry and in this way it will be truly a world premiere of that movie.
