Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot almost two months ago in Italy. Their wedding was a private affair but the pictures that surfaced took social media by storm. The wedding was then followed by grand receptions in Delhi and Mumbai. Ever since the two got hitched, they are being showered with love and blessings. And this time it is the actress’ father Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma who has expressed his love for his daughter and son-in-law.
Anushka’s father bought a book of poems for son-in-law Virat Kohli who is known to be an admirer of poetry. Virat Kohli is currently in South Africa for a series. The book, Smokes And Whiskey by Tejaswini Divya Naik is a collection of 42 poems on relationships. Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma with wife Ashima (Anushka’s mother) attended the book launch event of Naik’s book and also got an autographed copy of it for the Indian skipper.
Even on their wedding, Virat and Anushka’s fondness for poetry was pretty evident in the gift their guests took back home. The couple decided on gifting copies of Sufi poet Rumi’s anthology to people who came for their wedding.
The couple traveled to South Africa for their honeymoon where the Indian skipper had to play a series against the Proteas. Anushka returned to India alone to resume work on her upcoming film, Aanand L Rai’s Zero, alongside Shah Rukh Khan, and promote her home production Pari.
Their fans might have one more reason to celebrate because given their popularity, there are reports of the couple coming together for the next season of Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan.
