Quoting the decision of the Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala, the Congress said that they had the potential to form a government in Goa. The leader of RJD Tejashwi Yadav too was in the favor of summoning the Bihar governor in order to form a government in the state as his party was the ‘single largest’ in the assembly elections in the year 2015.
“I along with RJD and Congress legislators would meet Governor Satyapal Malik at 1 pm on Friday and stake claim to form the government in Bihar,” RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav told reporters in Patna. “If Yeddyurappa got a chance to form the government in Karnataka, why is the RJD being deprived? Why are there two yardsticks for Karnataka and Bihar?”- said the RJD leader.
However, his words were treated with content by the BJP spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain saying that, he would recommend the leader to reckon the ‘declining popularity’ of his party among the massed instead of killing his time.
The Congress is all set to protest against the Karnataka Governor’s summon to the BJP to form a government. While the oath-taking ceremony of the BJP leader Yeddyurappa is looked forward to be marked as ‘Save Democracy Day’.
On Friday a senior reporter said that the party leaders had made up their mind to protest against the Karnataka Governor in all parts of the nation. “All opposition parties should stage a demonstration in Bengaluru against the unconstitutional method adopted to allow the BJP to form a government in Karnataka, – said Yadav.
“The BJP is using all unconstitutional methods to form government by throttling democracy and misusing agencies, be it the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), Enforcement Directorate or income tax department to intimidate rivals.”- he added later.
