Auckland March21- The captain of the New Zealand cricket team Ross Taylor will play in the first test match against England in the forthcoming test series between New Zealand and England that will start on Thursday. Taylor suffered a thigh injury recently and decided not to play in the remaining matches of the recently concluded one day series between the two countries.He scored a captain’s knock of 181 runs in the one day match at Dunedin . He suffered a thigh injury during the match and the team management and his physiotherapist advised him to take rest since then. According to the New Zealand team management whether Taylor would play or not was a million dollar question till Tuesday but yesterday Taylor went for net practice and practiced for quite a long time in the ground and he was confident enough to play in the forthcoming test series against England according to Mike Hesson , the coach of New Zealand cricket team. He also added that the team also wanted to get accustomed with the pink ball because the forthcoming test series would be a day –night game .
