Farmers are getting zero and committing suicides but Rs. 2.5 lakh crore loans were relinquished for fifteen industrialists, says Rahul Gandhi.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi condemned PM Modi on Monday, asserting that his government has disregarded the farmers’ interests but helped fifteen industrialists by relinquishing loans amounting to about Rs.2,5 lakh crore.
Addressing workers of the party’s OBC department here, he said people who work hard behind the scenes are “never benefitted” and the fruits of their labor are enjoyed by others.
“People with skills are not rewarded in India … farmers work hard but you don’t see them in the office of Modi Ji,” he said.
Rahul asserted that the non-performing assets of banks have increased to rupees one-thousand crore.
“Rs 2.5 lakh crore were given to fifteen industrialists. But the farmer got nothing…the loan waiver was for fifteen people but not for the farmer who continues to commit suicide… his children keep crying,” Gandhi said.
He also dared the stand of the government that India has the absence of skills saying it was not true and the authorities have failed to identify the reality.
